Castlehaven Care is a family-run business offering respite and long-term care for adults with varied learning difficulties; including autism, downs syndrome and their associated mobility, physical and behavioural problems.
Established in 1985, Castlehaven was our first home and as a family we ‘lived in’ with the first six service users – some of whom are sill with us. Since that time, the business has grown and expanded to meet the ever changing needs of our client base.
Today, Castlehaven Care consists of six specially designed residential homes. Our aim has always been to provide a happy environment in each of our sites, where the service users feel completely at home. Our service users are encouraged to develop at their own pace, without pressure, and we consider that interesting, stimulating and pleasurable activities, caring well-trained staff and good medical supervision are vital ingredients in promoting their happiness and well-being. We aim to provide a quality service which enables each individual service user to reach their maximum potential, whatever that may be, and to lead a full, happy and secure life.
We pride ourselves on our caring, well-trained staff, some of whom have been with us for many years, which allows us to provide continuity of care and build a real understanding of individual needs and personalities.
The business is still run by the Hicks family who are as dedicated as the day it started. Visit the Meet the Hicks family page and see how each member is involved.
