Castlehaven Care is a family run business offering respite and
residential care for adults with varied learning difficulties since 1985.
The Pine Cone is a separate unit to the rear of the main house. This is on two floors with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom on each floor. This unit was developed for service users whose changing needs resulted in them no longer being able to live happily in the communal living arrangements of the main homes, usually because of challenging behaviour.
This new unit has been developed for individual needs, allowing the service users to live in a safe environment with no impact on other service users, whilst still having the benefits of the activities available throughout our other homes.

The Pines Unit was developed to meet the needs of service users with more challenging behavior, creating a safe environment to meet their needs. The unit is on one level and has four bedrooms, two wet rooms, one with a Jacuzzi bath, two living rooms, a kitchen, an office and a laundry room. The unit’s garden is contained, with a coded lock on the gate, although all the gardens are accessible with support from staff. We are able to offer respite care at the unit due to the environment and high ratio of staff to service users.
